The nodes are where leaves and roots will grow from. Each cutting should have at least three nodes along the stem. Take a stem cutting from a mature hoya kerrii using a pair of sharp pruning shears or scissors. These offsets can be left to develop into a dense clump or pulled off and transplanted. Here is how you can propagate your hoya kerrii using water or sphagnum moss. Haworthia are slow growers and tend to stay small in pots, but they will produce new offsets in clumps around their bases. This houseplant-perfect formula will bring. Soil: Make sure to keep the Variegated Sweet Iris in soil with well-draining. Light: Keep your Iris Pallida ‘Variegata’ in an environment where it can receive partial to full sun on a daily basis. This means that, unlike other succulents, it is important not to over-water or fertilize during summer dormancy and water a bit more frequently in the winter growing season. Use Miracle-Gro Indoor Plant Food (following the label directions), a well-rounded fertilizer packed with nutrients. Water: The Variegated Sweet Iris wants regular watering to enhance fruit production but as a landscape plant, too much water will be a problem. This genus tolerates high heat by slowing down and eventually going dormant in the peak of summer. Water deeply enough for water to run out the drainage hole and allow the soil to completely dry before watering again. Pick deep containers with drainage holes and a gritty, well-draining soil that is 50% to 70% mineral grit (coarse sand, pumice, or perlite). Strong, drought-tolerant roots will grow if they have great drainage and infrequent water. They are particularly easy to grow and rarely affected by common succulent pests and diseases. Haworthia are able to tolerate low, indoor light, making them excellent houseplants, even for beginners. Its ability to tolerate low light makes it a fantastic indoor succulent. In nature, it grows in the shrublands of South Africa with acidic soil and partial shade or filtered light. In cooler areas, indoor propagating is recommended.Zebra Plant (now named Haworthiopsis fasciata) (Rowley): Named for the distinctive white bumps that line the outside of its leaves. To propagate from the seeds, plant the seeds in a well-draining soil mixture. This succulent type is a slow grower so even if it can be propagated by its seeds, this method is not recommended. Don’t forget to water when the soil dries out. Use well-draining soil for your new succulent plant. Before replanting, wait for a few days to allow it to callous. When you remove the offset, clean the extra soil from it. To start this process, use a sharp knife and remove an offset from the main plant. To be able to propagate from the mother plant, you might wait several years for the main plant to produce an offset. When propagating the plant from cuttings, cut a leaf from the mother plant carefully with a clean knife or scissors. Before replanting, wait for a few days to allow it to callous. It should be a healthy leave that has no part left on the stem. (Learn How to Propagate Succulents in detail here.) You should get a leave carefully from the mother plant.
